IEG Driver Recruiting is a multi-tiered
Windows program. The client only takes a few seconds to install and remains
usable even in very slow network environments. The program keeps all the data on
a central server where it does all its work. The client only gets the data it
needs to display and even that can be sent compressed over the line for better
performance. It remains usable when the client is installed locally even over
VPNs and dial-up connections. We use Borland Interbase or its
open-source version Firebird as the database platform. They are both full
featured RDMS that are fast, reliable, and scalable. The database is easy to
administer and can be maintained using simple batch files. Our reporting uses CrystalReports 8 and
our own internally developed report server. You can add reports to the report
server and they will be immediately available to your users. Our report server
can handle multiple security classes and user restrictions to protect important
data. Like the Driver Recruiting data entry screens, the report server can
handle multiple companies. Our imports use scheduled FTP to get the
data to you quick and easy. We can also do custom work on an hourly rate to
support anything we do not currently.
